Anti-Cellulite Scrub Treatment

Published by cateestar at 8:37 pm under Bath Recipes Edit This

Now we all know that there are thousands of treatments out there, and it is a billion dollar industry.  I have experimented  with hundreds of recipes over the years and made many custom ones.  (Never on animals, my family and myself have been the test subjects.) This is a general recipe for all skin.  So before you go out again and buy a cream or scrub that you are not sure is going to work, why not try this.  We have had great results and I will be adding more successful recipes here over the next month.

4 ounces of medium ground cornmeal

4 ounces of course ground oatmeal

1/2 ounce fine sea salt

Note when mixing these, some like it coarser than others, you can always put this is the blender for a few seconds.

This is the mix of essential oils that I use.

10 drops of Grapefruit essential oil

4 drops of Juniper Berry essential oil

4 drops of Sandalwood essential oil

4 drops of Geranium Rose essential oil

3 drops of Lemon essential oil

3 drops of Cypress essential oil

2 drops of Lavender essential oil

2 drops of Ylang Ylang

Add your essential oil mix to the dry mix and store in a airtight plastic wide mouth jar.  This mix will make about 6 ounces of scrub.  You can use this is the shower or bath, make sure to apply scrub to wet skin, in a circular motion.  Do not use this recipe if  you are allergic to any of the named ingredients.  Do not use this if you have broken or irritated skin.

And the secret, that makes this a little different is before use you want to heat it up ever so slightly.  If in the shower I let steaming water run over it for a minute  and then get in, or if I just plan to scrub and take a bath, I use the microwave for 10 seconds.  Each microwave is different so be careful.  Make sure to stir and  remix the entire jar before use.
